Henk-Jan Mol replaces Alexei Kervezee in the Netherlands squad

The ICC has confirmed the Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier has approved Paul Stirling as a replacement player for Eoin Morgan in Ireland s squad for the tournament, which runs from 2 to 5 August in Belfast, Ireland.
The confirmation was conveyed to the Cricket Ireland on behalf of the tournament Technical Committee on Friday evening.
Stirling replaced Morgan who made himself unavailable for part of the tournament. As a result of this, Cricket Ireland chose to seek to get him replaced for the whole event.
The 17-year-old Stirling made his first-class debut against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the ICC Intercontinental Cup in March earlier this year while his ODI debut was in the tri-series against New Zealand and Scotland in Aberdeen last month.
The right-handed batsman has performed for Ireland at all levels, including knocks of 114 against the Netherlands in the European U/17 Championship and 110 against Scotland for Ireland U/23.
The Technical Committee also approved Henk-Jan Mol for Alexei Kervezee in the Netherlands squad.
The process required for approving any player involves that player's home board making an application to the tournament Technical Committee for permission. In this case, the Technical Committee approved Morgans replacement on the basis of exceptional circumstances.
Kervezees replacement was allowed on medical grounds after Worcestershire all-rounder suffered a right hamstring tear.
The Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier consists of Andrew Faichney (ICC, tournament director), Richard Done (ICCs High Performance Manager) and David Kendix (ICC Cricket Committee).
Irelands first match of the ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier will take place against Scotland at Stormont on Saturday 2 August at 1300.
