The one-day international between India and Pakistan here on Tuesday has been abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a rain-drenched outfield.

 

Play was due to start at 10:45 pm (0945 GMT), but with the outfield soaked by the recent downpours, the umpires delayed play.

 

A decision on play was delayed further after a second inspection at 2:00 pm (1300 GMT) in the hopes a shortened match could be played.

 

The decision to abandon the match was made just before 2.30pm (1330GMT).
