The managing director of the 2007 World Cup said the cricket’s showpiece event is facing an accommodation shortage.

 

Chris Dehring, the managing director of the tournament, said: “We don't expect to satisfy the entire demand. You can't. It is a tremendous amount of demand for the event. Those who want to attend need to get out there and book their flights and hotel accommodations very early. They should have done so already, but it's not too late.”

 

Dehring is so concerned that he has appealed to fans to seek accommodation early for the event, to be held between March 5 and April 28.
