The National Selection Committee, in consultation with the Captain and Coach of the Pakistan Team, has recommended the following players for the Pakistan Tour of England 2006:

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved the Selection Committee's recommendation. 
The Selectors will again review Shoaib Akhtar's status after his ankle injury heals and he resumes bowling. 
Wasim Khan, Fawad Alam and Mohammad Salman have been included in the Pakistan 'A' Team due to their fine performances in domestic cricket and Akhtar Ayub has been selected in the 'A' side due to his fine performance in the World Cup winning Under-19 Team.
