Naved-ul-Hasan could have played himself into Pakistan's squad for their upcoming tour of England after picking up a player-of-the-month award for his performances for Sussex in the county championship.

The seamer got the nod for the 750-pound award in the face of competition from Shane Warne after taking 27 wickets in three matches during the month of May, including an 11-wicket haul against Yorkshire.
Sussex are top of division one in the championship and unbeaten in six matches so far this season with Naved's form a key factor in their run.
Pakistan are due to play four Tests and five one-day internationals against England between mid-July and early September.(Article: Copyright © 2006 AFP)
