Ryan Harris of South Australia will not be the Lowerhouse professional for the 2005 season. After obtaining permission to join the club, agreeing terms and the signing of contracts, Harris has been selected for the ACB Academy Squad which will train together and play matches between April and June 2005.

Lowerhouse Chairman David Wren added: "He is very disappointed as we are but obviously he must do all he can to enhance his first class career and build on the progress he has made this year in becoming a South Australia regular and winning man of the match awards in recent weeks. We wish him well and now begin the search for Lowerhouse professional 2005."
Harris was professional at Lowerhouse in 2003 but had to return home injured after 9 matches during which he had scored 413 runs, including an unbeaten 111, and taken 18 wickets, including 8-59 against Colne.
