These matches were added on to the Irish programme during the latter part of the season to give Bangladesh some warm up matches for the ICC Champions Trophy in England during September. The matches were to be played at Stormont and Limavady
 
The Irish team showed 5 changes from that which lost to Scotland. D.I.Joyce; J.A.Bushe; G.Cooke; A.G.A.M.McCoubrey and W.K.McCallan in for E.J.G.Morgan; D.T.Johnston (injured); S.Ogilby; P.J.K.Mooney and G.J.Thompson. There was a party of 13 chosen for the two matches and the other members of the party were P.J.K.Mooney and E.J.G.Morgan. 
Rain stopped play after 18 overs of Ireland innings. After a delay from 12.12 to 3.30 play resumed with match reduced to 32 overs a side, and Duckworth Lewis coming into play. 
Bangladesh were set a target of 206 in 32 overs under Duckworth Lewis. 
Match ended with Bangladesh winning with a single off the last ball of the match. 
A.R.White took his 50th wicket in his 52nd Match. 
Unfortunately three catches were dropped off centurion Nafis Iqbal. 
Man of the Match Award went to Nafis Iqbal (Bangladesh) 
At one point Gordon Cooke was on a hat trick. Unfortunately the hat trick ball slip down the leg side and with the wicket-keeper standing up went for 5 wides this was probably the crucial stage of the match, particularly as the next ball went for 4.
