Mumbai, Sept. 25 : World's leading wicket-keepers will assemble in London for charity dinners on Monday and Tuesday. This was revealed by former India stumper Farokh Engineer.

Speaking exclusively over telephone from United Kingdom, where he is based for years, he said, the MCC (Marylebone Cricket Club) in conjunction with a few charitable institutions have invited at least a dozen wicket-keepers for a two-day charity meet here".
"The event will be called as "Legendary wicket-keepers" and many of them have accepted the invitation. All the proceeds from the two events on 26th and 27th September are for the noteworthy charities especially to encourage the young and promising cricketers from all over the world".
According to Farokh Engineer, the invitation cards have been sent to Alan Knott, Engineer himself, Adam Gilchrist, Deryk Murray, Rod Marsh, Mark Boucher, Alec Stewart, Bob Taylor, Jeff Dujon, Jackie Hendricks and Wasim Bari.
"Bari is currently a team manager for the Pakistan team (he recently replaced veteran Intikhab Alam) touring UAE for the series against West Indies. He has been requested to grace the occasion for a day or two", Engineer added.
"I am the only one chosen from India, which naturally is a great honour for my country whom I was so very proud and honoured to have played for in 60's and 70's".
The 78-year-old Engineer played 46 Tests and 5 ODIs' and had held 66 catches and 16 stumpings in Tests and 3 and 1 in ODIs.
Engineer will also be in India during England's tour of India later this year.
Another India opener Virender Sehwag recently participated in a charity match at the Oval earlier this week.
Invited to play for the Cricket United XI against Surrey All Stars, Sehwag was out for a duck.
It could not be confirmed whether Pathan brothers- Yousif and Irfan- who too were invited for the match, participated.
