Burnley have re-signed Chris Holt as professional for 2017.

Burnley President Michael Brown said: "Chris has been an integral part of our recent successes and every year has come back a better player than the year before. We believe he has much more potential to fulfil. He is very well liked and is a perfect fit for Burnley Cricket Club."
Chris Holt said: "Every part of me has loved playing for Burnley Cricket Club and I have relished the opportunity of playing with such a talented set of lads. It is no secret that recent seasons have been amongst the most successful in the clubs proud history and its been a real honour to be a part of it. In most scopes of life teams that tend to enjoy a purple patch dont usually stay together for very long. This can be down to one reason or another, whether it be younger players being poached by rival clubs or more seasoned players not being able to regularly commit to as many games. Yet at Burnley there seems to be the right balance of youth and experience to hopefully remain competitive for the foreseeable future.
"Personally, I have never enjoyed my cricket as much. I feel I have developed as a player, with my performances improving along with my consistency and hopefully this is a trend that will continue over the coming years. Being a professional you never really seem to get chance to settle at a club. This is predominantly as you are seen as an employee and uncertainty can strike as you never know where you will be playing the following season. However, I now feel that Burnley is my club - I line up with some of my best friends each week. Id also like to thank all the members of Burnley Cricket Club for their support."LATEST SCORES
