The English cricket team has been been charged for slow over-rate in the fourth and final Test match at Johannesburg resulting in a fine for the team.

In a Test match which England lost by an innings and 74 runs, the visitors were ruled to be one over short of target at the end of the match, resulting in captain Andrew Strauss and his team facing a minimal fine, which was imposed by ICC match referee Roshan Mahanama.
As per the new ICC Code of Conduct, Strauss is to pay 20 per cent of his match fees while the other players have been handed 10 per cent fines. Meanwhile, the ICC also stated that if the England captain is slapped with even two minor over-rate offences in Test cricket in the next 12 months, he will receive a one-match suspension.
The penalty was accepted by Strauss and thus there was no hearing that followed the sentence.LATEST SCORES
