England's emerging bowling all-rounder Stuart Broad wants to emulate his 'role model' Glenn McGrath.

Broad fashioned England's win in the fifth Ashes match With a hostile spell, after which Flintoff bid adieu to Test cricket.

The young pacer said that it would be an achievement if he could do half of what Flintoff has done in his career but he is more inclined to emulate Australian pace legend McGrath, who has 560 Test wickets to his name.

"McGrath has always been a role model for me ever since I was a really young lad. What did do? He just banged out a length at the top of off stump and ran it back into off stump and his record speaks for itself.

"If I could be half as good as Glenn McGrath, that would be fantastic," Broad told reporters at the team's hotel here.
