PCA Masters XI comprising of an array of former England cricketers defeated Ireland comprehensively by six wickets. Set a below par target of 140 in 20 overs the current West Indian batsmen Kieron Pollard pulverised the meek Irish bowlers as they chased down the target.

Having won the toss Ireland elected to bat first, and were soon in a spot of bother, as Phil DeFreitas and Darren Gough both struck in their first overs with the new ball, before Peter Such scythed through the lower-order with 3 for 17 in four overs. For Ireland John Mooney, scored an imperious 57 from 43 balls in a total of 139 for 9.
