Lancashire 1868
Born 21.10.1846 Enfield.
Died 9.4.1905 Clayton-le-Moors.

5ft. 6 inches tall and just under ten stone, he was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler. He opened the innings in his only first-class match, but playing for his home club, Enfield, was a middle order batsman. Although listed as a professional he played his club cricket as an amateur and as was common in those days probably accepted payment to make up for wages lost playing in a mid-week fixture.
His only match for Lancashire was on 28th to 30th May 1868, at Trent Bridge, against Nottinghamshire.
At the time of the 1881 Census he was lodging at 64 Godson Street, Oldham, with Joseph and Ellen Boldock. He is aged 36 and unmarried and employed as a brewery labourer.
