Brief profile of Bill Davies
by Dr.A.K.Hignell
Bill Davies was a professional with Cardiff and Briton Ferry Steel during the 1920`s. The all-rounder was highly regarded in club circles, especially as a seam bowler, and he appeared in five first-class matches between 1922 and 1927. Had Glamorgan been able to have afforded to field more professionals, it is likely that Davies would have played on a more frequent basis in the County Championship.
