Wilmot Robinson (Colne's wicket keeper) was hit in the face from a fast ball from Riley, early in Nelson's innings, and had to retire. Len Rushton took up wicket=keeping duties. On Monday, Robinson resumed behind the stumps with a patch over one eye.
After the match the League Champions Trophy was presented by Mr William Barlow, secretary of the League.
