Cambridgeshire won this match by 113 runs on the second day. "Pleasant weather prevailed on Monday and the attendance in the afternoon reached quite 1000." For Cambridgeshire Tebbutt scored 142, which contained 21 fours, in one hour and 40 minutes. Hunt scored 63. For Suffolk Mortimer scored 53. Penfold took 10 wickets in the match for 188 runs with 5 wickets in each innings for 93 and 95 runs respectively. Scorecards show P S Trevor but this is thought to be E E G Alderwick playing under a different name.
