Glamorgan won by 9 wickets before lunch on the second day.
Kent had to follow on after losing 6 wickets for just 10 runs in the middle of their first innings.
For the winners there were 2 sixes, 1 five and 12 fours in Maxwell's unbeaten 113, an innings lasting about 2 hours; he
added 91 for the seventh wicket with Williams in an hour.
Hacker took 6 wickets for 49 runs in Kent's first innings, whilst Maxwell took 6 wickets for 66 runs in their second innings; he finished with match figures of 10-94.
For the losers Troughton scored 50 in the second innings.
Hickmott ricked his back and retired injured after bowling just 3 overs in Glamorgan's first innings and Draper came on as a substitute. This is the first time this ground has been used for
a Championship match.
