Staffordshire won this return match by an innings with just 4 minutes to spare
at 6.26 pm on the second day. They had also beaten Glamorgan by an innings earlier in the season. Torrential rain during Sunday night, followed by several prolonged showers on Monday morning meant play did not start until 11:45 am on Tuesday morning. Staffordshire's lunch time score of 109-7 was propelled after the interval by Wilson who hit 73 in 40 minutes which featured five sixes and three fours. For the winners Barnes took 10 wickets for 42 runs in the match, including 6 wickets for 30 runs in Glamorgan's first innings, during which he bowled unchanged. Having secured the final wicket of the match he was given a standing ovation as the players left the field. Glamorgan were dismissed twice in under 58 overs with Morris' second innings knock of just 34 representing over a quarter of the runs scored off the bat. Creber took 5 wickets for 109 runs in Staffordshire's innings.
