For the winners Sewell took 12 wickets for 169 runs, with 7 wickets for 80 runs in the Bedfordshire first innings and 5 wickets for 89 runs in the second. Field, the debutant, scored 103 with 1 six and 14 fours, an innings of two and a half hours.
