Durham won this match by an innings and 101 runs at 4.15 pm on the second day, after Lincolnshire followed on 184 runs behind on first innings. Play was limited by thunderstorms to just over 2½ hours on the first day, with 20 minutes from 11.30 am and another 2¼ hours from 4.15 pm. For the winners, Morris and Parkin bowled unchanged through both innings, Parkin taking 10 wickets for 74 runs, including 6 for 37 in the Lincolnshire first innings, and Morris 7 wickets for 65 runs.
There were 2 sixes, and 8 fours in Bradford's 105, an innings of 2 hours and 20 minutes. For Lincolnshire, the highest innings were played by Prior with 18 and 19. In the Durham innings Day took 5 wickets for 54 runs.
