Perkins's 91 included 13 fours, Miller scored 56 and R W Awdry's 52 contained 11 fours. In the Wiltshire innings, C S Awdry and Nicholson put on 136 runs for the first wicket in an hour, and R W Awdry and Perkins 111 for the fifth wicket. For Berkshire, there were 18 fours in F E Rowe's 91 and Nepean scored 52. In the Berkshire second innings Rowe and Nepean added 123 for the third wicket. The Wiltshire total of 472 was the second highest score of the season.
