Hertfordshire won this return match by eight wickets at 4.05 pm on the second day, after enforcing the follow-on. The win ensured that Hertfordshire won their section and qualified for the semi-finals. The match between the two sides at Cambridge in July had also been won by Hertfordshire. For Hertfordshire, there were 6 fours in Dashwood's 45. For Cambridgeshire Watts scored 51. In the Cambridgeshire second innings, Brown and Watts added 55 for the seventh wicket. On the second day, rain immediately after lunch delayed the start of the Hertfordshire second innings for an hour.
[Missing: Umpires; part fall of wickets; large partnerships; in Hertfordshire second innings extras breakdown; in Cambridgeshire second innings part batting order and boundaries in Watts's 51.]
