Match drawn with Cornwall winning on first innings. The match was played in fine weather on both days. The Cornwall declaration on the second day left Devon two hours to score the 376 runs needed for victory. For the visitors, there were 15 fours in W S Tresawna's 99, and 8 fours in H Tresawna's 79. In the Cornwall second innings, J C Bickford-Smith and Hawken added 65 runs for the ninth wicket. In the Devon first innings, Hosking took 7 wickets for 59 runs. For Devon, Cruwys's 79 contained 10 fours and Sturt's 61 not out 8 fours. Aston's 45 overs were the second most bowled in an innings and the 202 runs conceded the equal highest in a match during the season.
