Match drawn with Glamorgan winning on first innings. No start was possible on the first day because of rain, the match being abandoned for the day at 2.30 pm. Play did not start until 11.20 am on the second day. The wicket was spongy and slow. Monmouthshire saved the follow-on with a last wicket partnership of 6 between F G Phillips and Steeples. Diver had a sudden attack of lumbago before play started and did not take the field until over fifty runs had been scored. David kept wicket until then and A J Price acted as substitute fielder. In the Glamorgan second innings all four wickets fell at the same total of 22.
