Buckinghamshire won this close return match by one wicket at 3.40 pm on the second day. The ninth Buckinghamshire second innings wicket fell with the score at 79 and six runs still needed for victory. Ford and Vickerstaff survived two strong appeals for leg before wicket and a run out before the match was won. The match between the two sides at Bletchley at the beginning of the month had also been won by Buckinghamshire. For the winners, Gresson scored 55. For Wiltshire, Stevens scored 54 and Butterworth 51.
