Trudgett took 7 wickets for 60 in the Oxfordshire first innings, but subsequently fell ill and withdrew from the game.
Watson dislocated a finger while fielding in the Oxfordshire second innings.
Brooks and J W Marsh held the substitute catches in the Oxfordshire second innings fielding for Trudgett and Watson respectively.
