Berkshire won this return match by nine wickets at 4.30 pm on the second day. Glamorgan had won the game between the two teams at Cardiff earlier in the month. Williams performed the feat of scoring an hundred runs and taking 10 wickets in a match, a feat only previously achieved on four occasions, including once by Williams himself. On the basis used in the statistical survey, this was the best all-round performance of the season. Williams's 100 contained 20 fours, 4 threes and 6 twos, and he took 13 wickets for 168 runs, including 8 for 110 in the Glamorgan first innings. For the losers, J H Brain's 69 contained 9 fours. Lowe hurt his ankle and did not bowl in the Berkshire second innings.
[Missing: Initials of umpire Luff; extras breakdown; in Berkshire 1st inns duration of Williams's 100, and fall of ninth wicket.]
