Worcestershire won this return match by 43 runs.
There was some confusion about which side had won the Championship, with Durham, Norfolk and Worcestershire all ending with three points.
Worcestershire believed they had won outright as they had won one more match than the other two teams.
On the other hand, Durham and Norfolk believed they shared the title, as they would have done if the scoring system for the First-Class Counties Championship had been applied to the competition.
Eventually, it was decided that all three sides should share the title.
The Worcestershire victory reversed the defeat at Norton in July.
Both teams in this match were without their regular Captains.
Durham required 162 runs in their second innings to win, but fell 44 runs short.
For the winners, Raynor took 10 wickets in the match for 89 runs, including 7 for 48 in the Durham second innings.
In ending the Durham second innings, Raynor dismissed the last two batsmen with consecutive balls.
[Missing: Umpires; in Durham second innings time to bat; time completed.]
