Berkshire won this return match by an innings and 95 runs early in the afternoon of the second day.
The game between the two sides at Watford earlier in the month had been drawn.
According to newspaper reports, the pitch cut up badly on the second day and favoured the bowlers.
Croome's 111 for Berkshire contained 9 fours, 9 threes and 18 twos.
In the Berkshire innings Croome and Finch put on 109 runs for the seventh wicket, and Croome and F E Chapman 61 for the ninth.
Edwards had been struck on the ankle while fielding in the Hertfordshire first innings, and batted with a runner.
