Yorkshire 2nd XI won this return match by an innings and 24 runs on the second day. In their second innings, Lancashire 2nd XI had faced a deficit of 209 runs and 4½ hours batting to save the match. The match between the two sides when they met in June at Old Trafford was drawn. For the winners, there were 18 fours, 1 three and 5 twos in Frank's 109, an innings of 1¾ hours.
