Rain-affected drawn match with Yorkshire 2nd XI winning on first innings. For the home team, there were 4 fours in Tyldesley's 51. Showers halted play on several occasions on the second day. There were 500 spectators present on the first day. For the visitors, Frank's 81 included 13 fours and Booth's 79 7 fours. In the Yorkshire 2nd XI innings, Booth and Frank added 139 for the seventh wicket. Hope was hit over the eye by a short-pitched ball from Whitaker. He needed several stitches. In the Yorkshire innings, Richardson was out in an unusual way hitting a ball from Heap twice.
