For the winners, Williams took 13 wickets in the match for 135, including 8 for 54 in the Northumberland second innings. There was 1 six and 16 fours in Harrison's 127, scored in 3½
hours. Ainscough's 74 included 1 six and 10 fours, Hartley's 51 6 fours and 2 sixes and there were 7 fours in Scholfield's 51. Harrison and Ainscough added 61 for the seventh wicket and Ainscough and Williams added 71 for the eighth. G T Milne's 54 for Northumberland contained 8 fours. In the Northumberland first innings, Chambers and G T Milne put on 75 runs for the seventh wicket, and Ullathorne and Veitch added 57 for the last. Nesbit played for Northumberland under the pseudonym of J Owen.
