Notes
--> SLV Raju achieved his best innings bowling analysis in List A matches in the India Seniors innings (previous best was 4-46)
--> SLV Raju achieved his first five wickets in an innings in List A matches in the India Seniors innings
--> ND Hirwani reached 50 wickets in List A matches when taking his 1st wicket in the India Seniors innings
Tendulkar 83b, Dravid 69b, 2x4, Mongia 46b
Tendulkar and Dravid steady the innings after the loss of early wkts. Srinath gets Rathore snicking a rising ball of good length. Prasad does ditto with Muzumdar. Tendulkar plays a very controlled innings. Dravid plays well and Saurav Ganguly is patchy (According to Deccan herald). Azhar finishes Prabhakar's overs in a trot and had Prasad and Srinath bowl the slogs.
Raju brought on after 10 overs, get Jadeja nick it to the keeper while playing a cut and Prabhakar loft it to mid-off for a catch. Azhar was caught in front of the wicket of a beauty that straightened out. India had hopes until Sidhu and Manjrekar was on. Sidhu who was tied down by Hirwani, lost patience and holed out. Runs were tough to come, when tendulkar was bowling since the ball wobbled a bit. Finally he got Manjrekar trapped in front. Mongia was punishing on Mhambrey when he was brought on for second spell. Raju brought on, got all the three wickets - Mongia, Srinath and Kumble. Raju's bowling has been praised by all the papers, with IE going as far as saying that he being left out over Chatterjee is still a mystery after Raju's performance against the Windies.
