Such was the inclement weather that only seven players appeared for each team.
Columbia Oval had lost one wicket when there was a sudden down pour and the captain protested to the umpires about the conditions. The umpires overturned the appeal and after half an hour sheltering under the trees they had to carry on. With one wicket to fall the umpires stopped the game again but a little cajoling from the Brooklyn players they allowed them to take the last wicket.
