The 40-over match was scheduled to start at 4.40pm, but steady rain in mid-afternoon meant that the umpires delayed the start until 6.00pm with the match reduced to 32 overs.
Before play could start, there was another delay because of rain with the match rescheduled to 6.30pm start and a 28 overs contest.
