Leicestershire Second XI 1st innings shown as 228 in the scorebook, however addition of batsmen's scores, and two addition errors in the Somerset bowling figures (two missed singles off H Sully) reveal that the above is a more likely score.
Identity of the Somerset wicket keeper not clear. Both PJ Eele and TI Barwell regularly occupied this position.
Scoresheets refer to Barnwell (not Barwell) batting in Somerset Second XI's first innings, and Barwell in the second. It should be remembered that LML Barnwell also played for Somerset, and at the time of this match was an 18 year old schoolboy at Repton School, which is situated only a few miles from the ground.
Bowling figures for Somerset Second XI's first innings did not add up by one run. Examination of the detailed analysis appeared to show the error to be in RJ Barratt's analysisa and is corrected above.
