And here it may be remarked that latterly the lazy, careless and incompetent scorers, evade part of their duties as scorers by cutting short in many instances the doings of the 18s, 22s &c., when opposed to the numerous itinerant elevens. The result of this neglect is that the record of many good matches is spoiled and will only be found abbreviated as above in these pages.
