MCC batting order appears to be by dismissal: Beldham obviously came in much higher.
Buckley's unpublished manuscript notes at Lord's state that this and the following match are Middlesex (i.e. Thursday) Club matches, but it is believed that Thursday Club matches do not commence until 1794. In any case, the personnel, and the presence of Beldham and Purchase in the MCC team, suggest a Middlesex county side.
