Phil made his Glamorgan debut in 1937, against Kent at Tonbridge, and he went on to score 6,055 first-class runs including 7 centuries. |
In 1948 Phil was also a member of the Glamorgan team that won the County Championship. Phil is standing second left on the back row in the side that played Yorkshire under Johnnie Clay`s captaincy (deputising for Wilf Wooller). |

Phil retired as Secretary in 1982, but he remained his involvement by scoring for the county`s 2nd XI and youth teams. |
