Surat: Rohan Prem scored his maiden first class century helps the Kerala side to consolidate their position in the Ranji Trophy tie against Gujarat.

The stylish lefthanders effort was suitably complimented by stumper Vinan G Nair (61) and pace man Prasant Chandran (61*).

In the process, the previous 10th wicket partnership record for Kerala of 95 runs between Satheesan Thampuran and P Mackey against Hyderabad at Nizamabad in 1974-75 was broken by Rohan Prem and Prasanth Chandran.

Prasant Chandran (61*) also found the highest score by a Kerala Number 11 batsman, the previous record was held my P Mackey (59) against Hyderabad at Nizamabad in 1974-75
