Todmorden have signed South African Gulam Bodi. The 28 year-old left handed batsman and slow left arm chinaman bowler made his One day International debut in August against Zimbabwe. Born in India, Bodi has scored 2862 runs at 33.7 and taken 61 wickets since making his First-class debut in 1996-97.
 
He has also played for Fleetwood in the Northern League and has acted as sub professional for Enfield and East Lancs in recent seasons. 
Back home Bodi pays for Titans and he was named in South Africa's squad for the Twenty20 World Championship. Bodi will be Todmorden's sixth South African professional after Rushdi Majiet (1969), Farnie De Villiers (1987), Frans Cronje (1997), Morne van Wyke (2006) and Francois du Plessis (2007). 
Todmorden's professional last season Francois du Plessis has signed for Lancashire on a six month contract under the Kolpak ruling.
