The working Committee meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has entrusted the KCA to organize the 2nd ODI match between India and Australia on the 2nd of October 2007 at Kochi.

The match is part of the Australia's tour of India to play 7 ODIs commencing on the 29th of September 2007. Kochi is hosting the Aussies for the second time since it became an ODI venue during the 1997/98 season.
