Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq will be fit to resume his innings after being struck on the wrist during the second day of the third and final Test against England, an official said Wednesday.
 
"The injury is not serious as the X-ray showed no fracture. He will bat on Thursday," said Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Abbas Zaidi. 
The Pakistan captain was forced to leave the field after being hit on the right wrist by a short-pitched delivery from England paceman Steve Harmison. 
Inzamam, unbeaten on 35, now needs only 10 more runs to become the second Pakistani batsman after Javed Miandad to complete 8,000 runs in Test cricket.(Article: Copyright © 2005 AFP)
