Todmorden have signed Sri Lankan Geeth Alwis as their new professional. The 24 year-old is a left handed all rounder bowling slow left-arm orthodox.

 

To date he has scored 2776 runs at 36.0 with five centuries and a best of 219 in First-class matches. He has also picked up 94 wickets at 26.5 since his debut in 2008.

 

Last season he played at Millom and previously he has played in the North Staffordshire and the North East Premier Leagues.

 

Waduthantrige Geeth Rasanga Kumarasiri Alwis will be the club's third Sri Lankan professional following Ravi Ratnayake (1989) and Chintha Jayasinghe (2009).
