Delport steps in for Rishton by Nigel Stockley

Rishton have signed 21 year-old South African Cameron Delport as their new professional. The left handed batsman and right arm medium paced bowler plays for Dolphins.

 

He has played 27 First-class matches since making his debut for KwaZulu-Natal in 2009, scoring 1372 runs at 31.2 with one century and seven fifties and he currently bats at number three. Delport's medium paced bowling has picked up 5 wickets at 66.4.

 

The South African has experience in English conditions, having played for Kent 2nd XI in 2007. He will be Rishton's tenth South African professional. He replaces his fellow countryman Andrea Agathagelou at Blackburn Road.
