WOOD, J. H.
Amateur.
He played for Sowerby Bridge, Yorkshire, and was tried by Yorkshire Colts against Nottinghamshire Colts in 1880, scoring 44 runs. He was selected for Yorkshire in two matches in 1881, making 14 in his only innings against Surrey, at Fartown, on his debut. Nothing further is known of this man.
With so little known of him and with such a common name it has proved impossible to pick him out in the 1881 Census.
