Player: | HDS Miller |
Hamish Miller was one of the first wave of overseas cricketers to play in English county cricket. But whereas others had moved to the U.K. for cricketing reasons, the South African all-rounder played for Glamorgan only as a result of securing a place at the University of Wales.

He made his county debut in 1963 against Hampshire at Swansea, and soon proved himself to be a capable all-rounder. Both of his Championship best performances came in 1964, as he struck a forthright 81 against Gloucestershire at Cheltenham, and claimed 7/48 with his lively seam bowling against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
Miller appeared in a total of 27 first-class matches until returning to the Cape after completing his postgraduate studies in 1967. Miller had made his debut for Western Province in 1962/63, and after returning to South Africa he played for Orange Free State until the 1970/71 season
