HIBBERT, John Calvert.
Amateur.
Born at Chalfont Lodge, Buckinghamshire, 4th August 1853.
Died at Valescure, St Raphael, France, 23rd March 1929.
He was the son of Leicester Hibbert, J.P. for the county of Buckinghamshire. He was the nephew of Charles Calvert who played for Middlesex and Surrey. His county cricket was played for Lincolnshire (1874), but he made two first-class appearances with the MCC in 1881-82. He was a banker.
The 1881 Census finds him living at home with his father, aged 55, and his wife, Caroline C., aged 41, at The Lodge, Chalfont Park, Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. His elder brother is Charles R.C., aged 28 is of no profession. He is aged 27, a banker, his sister Ada J. 26 years old and younger brother Godfrey L., aged 17, a student, all unmarried. Miss Frances M. Hatton, aged 35, is a visitor. There is a butler, footman, two grooms, cook-housekeeper, ladys maid, housemaid, under housemaid and a kitchen maid.
