CRANSTON, James.
Amateur.
Born at Bordesley, Birmingham, 9th January 1859.
Died at Bristol, Gloucestershire 10th December 1904.
He was educated at Taunton College and first tried for Gloucestershire at the age of seventeen. He played for them 103 times between then and 1899, having played for Warwickshire 1886-87, in the days before they gained first-class status. He played in one Test Match against the Australians in 1890. In 1880 he resided at Redland, Bristol.
