CHADWICK, Edmund Leach.

Born at Rochdale, Lancashire, 31st August 1847.
Died at Glenlyon, Parkstone, Dorset, 6th August 1918.
He was the son of T.Chadwick, of London. Educated at Bruce Castle School, Tottenham, and at Marlborough College, 1862-65. He turned out for Lancashire in thirteen matches between 1875 and 1881. His club cricket was with the Castleton, Rochdale Club. He went into business as a manufacturer in Rochdale.
In the 1881 Census the most likely entry is Edward CHADWICK of 270 Bury Road, Spotland, Rochdale, Lancashire. He is aged 33, born in Rochdale, and a woollen Manufacturer. Also present were his wife, Emily, aged 29, also born in Rochdale, two sons Hector Henry, aged 9, Thomas aged 7 and a daughter, Mabel aged 5. His father, Thomas CHADWICK, a widower aged 61, a woollen manufacturer, born in Scotland.There are two domestic servants.
